Dark eye circles are a tell-tale sign of little sleep

Sometimes yes and sometimes no. There are many contributing factors for dark circles. First, the darker your skin color, the more likely your lower eyelids will be a grayish color whether you have had a good night’s sleep or not. Seasonal allergies are often associated with itchy eyes which are frequently rubbed. This tugging and scratching of the delicate eyelid tissue is traumatic and causes microscopic amounts of blood to leak from vessels, much like a bruise. Also, changes in blood flow and dilation of eyelid vessels can be associated with your menstrual period producing occasional darkening. An eye cream containing optical diffusers and a good concealer slightly lighter than your skin tone and lavender tinted will mask the appearance of dark eye circles.
