INGREDIENT OF THE WEEK

Zinc Oxide

You may think of white-nosed lifeguards when you think of zinc, but there’s a good reason they use it.  Zinc, technically known as zinc oxide, offers great protection against UVA “aging” rays. This physical (or inorganic) sunscreen is non-irritating, reflects light and is perfect for babies or adults with sensitive skin. In the past, sunscreens containing zinc oxide were hard to rub in, making the skin look pasty white. Now new, micronized versions make this ingredient invisible, allowing for highly elegant formulations. Find zinc oxide in Rodan + Fields® REVERSE UVA/UVB SPF 15 Sunscreen and SOOTHE UVA/UVB SPF 15 Sunscreen, UNBLEMISH Oil Control Lotion SPF 20 and ENHANCEMENTS Mineral Peptides SPF 20.  Contact: Diane's website for this product of other sunscreens mentioned.
